Compare · Tented vs Brevo

Brevo sells the plan, then sells the rest. Tented just includes it.

On Brevo, the entry price is real but the platform is à la carte: one seat included, extra users ~$12 each, landing pages starting at one on Standard, automation capped at 2,000 contacts below that, and logo removal sold separately on Starter. Tented ships the whole platform on every paid plan.

    The short answer

Brevo's send-volume pricing looks cheap at the entry, and for a solo sender blasting a small list it genuinely is. The economics flip as soon as you use it like a platform: automation beyond 2,000 contacts, A/B testing, and the landing-page editor all require Standard (~$65/month at 20,000 emails, with exactly one landing page at the base tier and one marketing seat, extra users ~$12/month each). Tented at $40/month covers 20,000 emails with a 250,000-contact database, unlimited users, 250 published pages on your domain, A/B testing, and AI that generates the content. Independent trackers estimate real Brevo bills land ~31% above sticker once add-ons stack up; Tented's price is the price.

    • · Brevo restructured its plans in October 2025 (Free / Starter / Standard / Professional / Enterprise) and introduced stored-contact caps by tier; unlimited contact storage now requires Enterprise.
    • · Brevo's Free and Starter plans cap automation at 2,000 contacts entering flows; A/B testing and the landing-page editor start at Standard.
    • · Cost trackers estimate typical real-world Brevo bills run ~31% above sticker once seats, logo removal, dedicated IP, and channel credits are added.
    • · Brevo includes SMS and WhatsApp as separately metered credits; Tented does not offer SMS today. Tented prices shown are monthly billing; annual saves up to 10% more.

    The send math, kept honest

Most platforms bundle send allowances of 10x, 12x, even 24x your contact count per month, and it reads like generosity until you translate it: 12x means emailing every contact 12 times a month. No list tolerates that. Even 10 emails per contact per month is aggressive, and healthy programs typically land between 2 and 6. Inflated multiples exist to make the contact meter, the thing that actually bills you, feel like a better deal.

Tented sizes sends and database separately so you pay for what you actually do: storing a contact is cheap, so database headroom is generous, and send tiers map to real cadences. The scenarios above assume roughly 2 to 4 emails per contact per month (an actively worked list), with the Tented tier chosen to cover both the audience size and the send volume.

Competitor pricing and packaging are published list prices as of August 2026, converted to monthly USD, and change often; check each vendor's pricing page for current details. Tented prices come straight from tented.ai/pricing.

    Seeing is believing

    What "AI-native" actually looks like

Not a sidebar assistant bolted onto a 2015 editor. Describe the outcome; approve the result. Click any screenshot to zoom.

Pages: chat on the left, your landing page rendering on the right. Every revision is a sentence.
Emails: the AI Email Studio writes, designs, and codes pixel-perfect HTML in your brand.
Journeys: triggers, branches, webhooks, and the Create Tent step that builds a personalized page per contact.
The Image Agent: ask for art and your logo is painted straight into the scene. No stock sites, no designer on retainer.
Import receipts: millions of contacts in, with created, updated, skipped, and failed counted per file. Migrations come with proof.
The Agent API: bulk endpoints mint personalized assets from one approved template. Docs your agents can read.

    The agentic era

Drag-and-drop was built for 2015. Tented is built for what's next.

Every platform on this page still centers on the same WYSIWYG editor marketers have been wrestling with for a decade: pick a block, drag it, nudge it, fight the mobile view, repeat. Tented starts from a different premise: you describe the outcome, and the platform builds it, on brand, in seconds. That difference compounds everywhere.

Brevo grew from a transactional email service into a suite, and its AI (Aura) drafts copy inside the same manual editors. Tented began as an AI platform: the campaign is generated, the iteration is a chat message, and the whole surface is exposed to your agents over one API.

    Describe, don't drag

Pages, emails, and flows are generated and revised by chat. Iterating is a sentence, not a session. Two hundred plus templates ship with your brand already applied, so the first draft already looks like you.

Your agents get a marketing team

Everything a human can do in the app, an agent can do over the API, on every plan, including Free. Mint a key, hand it to Claude or Codex, and campaigns, audiences, and landing pages build themselves with approvals still in your hands.

    Personalization down to one

A Tented flow can generate a bespoke landing page for a single contact: enrich the contact over the API, pass the company's logo and context into the prompt, and the flow renders a page for that one prospect. No other platform on this page has that step.

Why teams switch from Brevo to Tented

    One price, whole platform

Brevo's ladder (seats ~$12, logo removal $9 on Starter, landing pages from Standard, SSO and IPs extra) means the real bill is a spreadsheet. Tented's tier price includes unlimited users, 250 published pages, A/B testing, journeys, and the full API. What it says is what you pay.

    Automation without a contact cap

Below Standard, Brevo journeys stop at 2,000 contacts, which is exactly when automation starts mattering. Every Tented plan runs uncapped multi-step journeys, including AI steps that generate a personalized page per contact.

A database, not just a pipe

Brevo prices by send volume and now caps stored contacts by tier. Tented pairs generous send tiers with a real CRM: 25,000 contacts on the $25 tier, a million on the $75 tier, custom fields and dynamic lists included.

    Humans when you need them

Brevo's most-cited weakness is support: slow, canned, and paired with aggressive automated account suspensions. Every Tented customer gets white-glove service from a team that has shipped at Adobe, Salesforce, Microsoft, Marketo, and Lyft, with an optional private Slack channel.

    Where Brevo still fits

Brevo's entry pricing on raw email volume is hard to beat: $9/month for 5,000 emails is genuinely cheap, and its transactional email, SMS, and WhatsApp channels make it a practical all-in-one message pipe for developers. If you need multichannel credits in one account and can live inside its feature gates and support reputation, the low end of Brevo is good value. The moment you want the marketing platform (pages, uncapped automation, a team), Tented includes everything Brevo charges extra for, at a lower total.

    Tented vs Brevo: FAQs

What is the best Brevo alternative in 2026?

Tented, if you want the whole platform at one price: unlimited seats, 250 published pages, A/B testing, and uncapped journeys are included on every paid plan rather than sold as unlocks, and AI generates the content. Brevo remains a fair pick for solo senders who only need cheap email volume or bundled SMS and WhatsApp credits.

    Is Tented cheaper than Brevo?

For a platform-level comparison, yes. Brevo Standard at 20,000 emails/month is about $65 with one seat and one landing page; Tented is $40/month with unlimited seats, 250 published pages, and a 250,000-contact database. Add four teammates and Brevo is ~$113/month versus Tented's unchanged $40. Only at the very bottom (a solo sender on Starter at $9 who needs no automation past 2,000 contacts, no A/B, and no pages) is Brevo cheaper.

What does Tented include that Brevo charges extra for?

Unlimited users (Brevo: ~$12/month per extra seat on Standard), branding removal on all paid plans (Brevo Starter: $9/month add-on), 250+ published landing pages with custom domains (Brevo: from one page on Standard), uncapped journey contacts on every plan (Brevo: 2,000-contact cap below Standard), plus AI image generation and 1:1 personalized pages Brevo does not offer at any price.

    Doesn't Brevo have unlimited contacts?

Not anymore. Brevo's October 2025 restructure introduced stored-contact caps by plan tier, with unlimited storage reserved for Enterprise. Tented's tiers state their database size up front: 25,000 contacts at $25/month up to 1M on Pro, and up to unlimited on Max tiers.

Can I migrate from Brevo to Tented?

Yes. Export contacts from Brevo to CSV (or bridge the APIs) and Tented's Fast List Import loads about 250,000 contacts a minute with dedupe and per-row receipts. White-glove onboarding, included for every customer, covers rebuilding your automations as Tented journeys.

When is Brevo the better choice?

If you primarily need a cheap, unified message pipe (marketing blasts plus transactional email, SMS, and WhatsApp credits) and one seat is enough, Brevo's Starter tier is inexpensive. If you are running actual marketing programs with a team, pages, and automation, Tented's flat tiers cost less than Brevo's unlocked equivalent.
